1. Production Information & Deliverables
• Plan, allocate and control the production of architectural shop drawings, composite/coordination drawings, IFC drawings, schedules and as-built documentation across concurrent projects.
• Review and sign off all architectural deliverables before issue — dimensional accuracy, compliance with contract drawings and specifications, drawing standards, title blocks, revision control and issue records.
• Develop and maintain the office architectural standards: templates, layer/naming conventions, sheet formats, detail library and drawing checklists.
• Track deliverable status against the project drawing register and consultant submission dates; escalate slippage before it becomes a delay claim.
2. Technical Coordination
• Lead architectural coordination with structural and MEP teams — clash resolution, ceiling and service zone coordination, builder's work openings, and finished-level reconciliation.
• Chair or attend coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors and specialist suppliers; close out actions and record technical agreements.
• Prepare, review and follow up RFIs, technical queries, material submittals and mock-up requests; maintain a clear audit trail of consultant responses.
• Identify design gaps, discrepancies between contract documents, and scope ambiguities early, and raise them formally to protect the company's commercial position.
3. BIM & Digital Delivery
• Own the architectural model in the federated BIM environment — model integrity, worksets, shared coordinates, LOD compliance and adherence to the project BEP.
• Run and interpret clash detection reports; drive resolution to closure rather than reporting clash counts.
• Drive quantity extraction from the model to support procurement, subcontractor packages and progress measurement.
4. Team Leadership
• Lead, allocate and mentor a team of architects, BIM modellers and draftsmen; set clear daily and weekly targets and hold the team to them.
• Assess team capability, identify skill gaps and run structured on-the-job training — particularly on Revit workflows and drawing quality.
• Forecast resource requirements against the project pipeline and flag shortfalls to the Technical Office Manager in advance.
• Conduct performance reviews, support recruitment and technical interviewing, and build a succession bench within the team.
5. Tendering & Pre-Construction Support
• Support the estimation and pre-sales teams with architectural take-offs, scope interpretation, tender queries and technical clarifications.
• Review tender documents for scope gaps, exclusions and risk items, and contribute to the qualifications register submitted with the bid.
• Propose value-engineering and buildability alternatives with a clear cost and programme rationale.
6. Quality, Compliance & Handover
• Ensure all deliverables comply with the applicable codes and authority requirements of the project jurisdiction (e.g. SBC, NFPA, ADA/accessibility, civil defence, and healthcare authority requirements such as MOH/CBAHI or JCI where applicable).
• Implement and audit an internal check-and-review process so that no drawing reaches the consultant without a second set of eyes on it.
• Oversee the compilation of as-built documentation and O&M-related architectural records for handover.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in architectural production and technical office work within construction or fit-out, of which at least 3 years in a team leader or section head capacity.
• Minimum 3 years' experience on GCC projects (Saudi Arabia, UAE or Qatar), with working knowledge of the applicable codes and consultant approval cycles.
• Demonstrable experience producing and checking shop drawings and coordination drawings on live construction projects — not design-stage output only.
• Advanced Revit (Architecture) — modelling, families, sheets and documentation. Advanced AutoCAD. Working knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection.
• Strong command of technical English, both written and spoken; able to draft RFIs, submittals and formal correspondence independently.
• Proven ability to lead a team under programme pressure and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Preferred
• Experience on healthcare projects (hospitals, clinics, laboratories) and familiarity with medical planning constraints, infection-control finishes and medical gas/equipment coordination.
• Master's degree in Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Egyptian Engineering Syndicate membership and/or Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration.
• Exposure to interior fit-out, joinery and specialist finishes packages.
• Familiarity with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, Dynamo, or other automation of drawing production.
