- Review and coordinate MEP drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and technical submittals.
- Ensure MEP deliverables comply with project specifications, international standards, local codes, and authority requirements.
- Coordinate between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, low current, ICT, civil, structural, architectural, and infrastructure teams.
- Identify and resolve clashes between MEP systems and other disciplines.
- Prepare/review RFIs, technical queries, method statements, material submittals, and technical reports.
- Review BOQs, technical specifications, quantities, equipment schedules, and material requirements.
- Support technical evaluation of suppliers, materials, equipment, and subcontractor submissions.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, site teams, and project stakeholders for technical approvals.
- Monitor MEP technical deliverables against project timelines and procurement schedules.
- Support value engineering and cost optimization while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Maintain technical logs for drawings, RFIs, submittals, approvals, and changes.
- Provide technical support to site teams during construction and installation stages.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in MEP technical office or building services engineering.
- Strong experience in large-scale infrastructure, substation, ICT, utilities, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, shop drawings, coordination drawings, specifications, BOQs, and authority requirements.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, PMC, or engineering/design teams.
- Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical coordination, low current systems, fire fighting, HVAC, plumbing, power, and light current systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit/BIM/Navisworks is preferred.
- Strong coordination, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical submissions under tight deadlines.
