- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for local and imported materials, products, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Lead high-level supplier negotiations on pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, quality standards, and commercial conditions.
- Manage purchasing contracts and ensure alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct cost analysis, supplier comparisons, and market research to identify savings opportunities.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality, delivery, or commercial issues.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely availability of required items.
- Follow up on import-related purchasing activities, including supplier coordination, shipment status, and required documentation.
- Prepare purchasing reports, cost-saving analysis, and supplier performance updates for management.
- Mitigate supply, commercial, and contractual risks across the purchasing cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Commerce, Agriculture, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- 5–7 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Proven experience in both local purchasing and imports/foreign supplier management.
- Experience in the agricultural sector is highly preferred; food, FMCG, manufacturing, or related industries are also relevant.
- Strong strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation experience.
- Solid financial analysis, cost-control, and supply chain management skills.
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience is strongly preferred.
