Job Description

Administer construction contracts throughout the project lifecycle in accordance with contractual terms, project procedures, and applicable regulations.
Manage formal contractual correspondence between the client, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Review contractors’ contractual submissions, including notices, claims, variations, change requests, and Extension of Time (EOT) applications.
Support the preparation, assessment, negotiation, and resolution of contractual claims.
Maintain variation and change-control registers, ensuring all changes are properly documented, evaluated, and tracked.
Monitor contractors’ compliance with contractual obligations and identify potential contractual or commercial risks.
Prepare contractual notices, letters, reports, recommendations, and responses within the required timeframes.
Maintain complete and accurate contract records, correspondence logs, claims registers, and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with commercial, quantity surveying, planning, engineering, and site teams to obtain information required for contractual assessments.
Support contract negotiations and provide contractual advice to project management and commercial teams.
Monitor key contractual milestones, deliverables, payment obligations, and notice periods.
Prepare regular contract administration reports highlighting claims, variations, risks, outstanding actions, and contractual status.
Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding contractual and commercial matters.
Support contract closeout activities, including final accounts, outstanding claims, completion documentation, and release of obligations.
Ensure consistent contract administration across multiple packages and contractors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in contracts administration within the construction or infrastructure sector.
Proven contracts administration experience with a PMC or consultancy organization is essential.
Strong experience working on large-scale, multi-package, or multi-contractor projects.
Demonstrated experience managing formal correspondence between clients, consultants, and contractors.
Strong knowledge of contract administration, construction law principles, claims procedures, notices, variations, change management, and EOT assessments.
Practical experience reviewing contractor claims, contractual notices, variation submissions, and supporting documentation.
Ability to draft clear and professional contractual letters, notices, reports, and recommendations.
Strong understanding of commercial and project controls processes.
