Research & Development
Develop and optimize epoxy flooring formulations, including self-leveling, anti-static, and chemical-resistant systems.
Conduct laboratory testing of raw materials, resins, additives, fillers, and pigments.
Develop polyurethane, cementitious, and other specialty chemistries based on market needs.
Prepare Technical Data Sheets (TDS), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and application guides.
Lead continuous product improvement using customer feedback and market benchmarking.
Monitor industry trends, regulations, and competitor developments.
Create customized formulations for specific customer or project requirements.
Scale formulations from laboratory trials to full production.
Maintain comprehensive R&D documentation, formulation records, and test results.
Evaluate and qualify new suppliers and alternative raw materials.
Quality Control
Establish and maintain quality control procedures and testing protocols.
Oversee testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Ensure compliance with ASTM, EN, ISO, BS, and other applicable standards.
Investigate product defects and customer complaints using root cause analysis and CAPA.
Maintain laboratory equipment calibration records.
Prepare quality documentation including batch records, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), and test reports.
Maintain ISO 9001 and other relevant certifications.
Drive production quality improvements in collaboration with manufacturing.
Conduct internal audits and support external certification audits.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and develop the QC laboratory team.
Coordinate with Procurement on raw material specifications and supplier qualification.
Support Sales with technical presentations and customer visits.
Assist contractors and project managers with technical troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements for chemical handling.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field.
Master's degree is an advantage.
Experience
8–12 years of relevant experience in R&D and Quality Control.
Proven experience developing epoxy, polyurethane, or construction chemical formulations.
Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Experience with ASTM, ISO, EN, and BS testing standards.
Experience in laboratory management and production scale-up.
Previous experience managing QC laboratories and technical teams.
