We are seeking an experienced RCM Instrument Engineer (Subject Matter Expert) to lead and support Reliability-Centered Maintenance
(RCM) initiatives for instrumentation, control, and automation systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for improving asset reliability, availability, and operational performance by applying Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology in accordance with SAE JA1011 / JA1012 standards across large-scale industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and facilitate Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) studies for instrumentation and control systems in compliance with SAE JA1011 / JA1012 standards.
• Apply the seven RCM questions to determine optimal maintenance strategies for instrumentation assets.
• Develop and implement reliability strategies to maximize the performance and availability of:
o Field Instruments
o Process Analyzers
o Control Valves
o PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
o DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
o SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems)
• Conduct FMEA/FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis)
and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for instrumentation failures and functional degradation.
• Analyze instrument failure history, alarm reports, condition monitoring data, and performance trends to improve maintenance effectiveness.
• Calculate MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and establish optimized Preventive Maintenance (PM) and calibration frequencies.
• Develop and optimize preventive maintenance programs, calibration routines, inspection strategies, and maintenance plans to reduce downtime and lifecycle costs.
• Lead RCM and FMECA workshops involving Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Engineering teams.
• Train, mentor, and guide instrumentation engineers and technicians on RCM methodology, reliability engineering, and maintenance best practices.
• Utilize GE APM Meridium for reliability analysis and maintenance optimization.
• Utilize SAP CMMS for maintenance planning, work order management, asset history analysis, and documentation.
• Support asset health monitoring, bad actor analysis, reliability improvement initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance, reliability engineering, or maintenance engineering within industrial environments.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience applying Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology in accordance with SAE JA1011 /
JA1012 standards.
• Proven experience working on large-scale industrial, EPC, or asset reliability improvement projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of:
o Field Instrumentation
o Process Analyzers
o Control Valves
o PLC Systems
o DCS Systems
o SIS Systems
• Hands-on experience using GE APM Meridium and SAP CMMS.
• CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) certification is
mandatory.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and
cross-functional coordination skills.
