Job Description

Lead project planning and controls for complex, high-value engineering and infrastructure programmes.
Develop and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 across design, procurement, and construction phases.
Conduct critical path, delay, impact, and risk analyses; propose recovery and mitigation plans.
Manage schedule baselines, updates, lookahead plans, milestones, change control, and compliance with scheduling standards/DCMA criteria.
Lead cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow reporting, cost variance analysis, and earned value management.
Prepare and review project controls deliverables, including S-curves, EVM reports, CPA reports, dashboards, KPIs, trend analysis, and monthly progress reports.
Build Power BI dashboards and convert project data into clear, actionable insights for clients and senior management.
Lead and mentor planners, schedulers, cost controllers, and project controls analysts, ensuring quality and consistency of deliverables.
Act as the main point of contact for planning, scheduling, cost-control, and performance-reporting matters with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Support change orders, early warnings, extension-of-time claims, and client negotiations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
10–15 years of experience in project planning, project controls, cost control, or programme management within engineering consultancy, design, infrastructure, or construction environments.
Advanced hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Strong knowledge of scheduling, baseline development, critical path analysis, progress tracking, delay analysis, and impact assessment.
Proven expertise in cost management, budgeting, forecasting, Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS), cash flow, contingency, change control, and Earned Value Management.
Experience with large-scale transportation, infrastructure, E&M, or enterprise project-management environments across the UK, US, or Middle East is preferred.
Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and schedule analysis standards such as CL31, CL32, and CL62 is an advantage.
Advanced Power BI capability, including dashboards, data models, DAX, and reporting automation.
Good SQL skills; experience with ETL, VBA, Python, or automation tools is preferred.
Strong client-facing, leadership, stakeholder-management, presentation, and report-writing skills.
Relevant certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, AACE CCP, Primavera, EcoSys, or RICS are preferred.
