* Review electrical technical submissions provided by contractors.
* Review shop drawings and material submittals.
* Ensure that electrical designs and installations comply with applicable international standards and project specifications.
* Evaluate electrical load calculations, voltage-drop calculations, cable sizing, short-circuit studies, and protection discrimination studies.
* Review earthing, lightning-protection, and other electrical systems.
* Respond to contractors’ technical queries and provide appropriate engineering solutions.
* Coordinate electrical activities and requirements with other engineering disciplines.
* Ensure compliance with relevant UAE regulations and standards, including DEWA, ADDC, ADQCC, and the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code.
* Travel to the UAE for short periods when required by project needs.
Requirements
* Minimum of 10 years of site-based electrical engineering experience.
* Previous experience in the Middle East is mandatory.
* Familiarity with international electrical standards and UAE authority regulations.
* experience working with an engineering consultancy firm
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
* Strong experience in supervising and reviewing electrical works.
* Solid knowledge of electrical calculations, protection systems, earthing, and lightning protection.
* Strong technical review, multidisciplinary coordination, and problem-solving skills.
* Willingness and availability to travel to the UAE for short assignments.
