- Prepare preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance plans and ensure their proper implementation.
- Monitor the operation and maintenance of machines, equipment, and refrigeration systems to ensure continuous and efficient performance.
- Ensure the availability of required spare parts and follow up on spare parts requests submitted by technicians.
- Review and verify received spare parts to ensure they match the required specifications.
- Implement maintenance programs for motors, switches, control devices, protection devices, and all related equipment and machinery.
- Participate in complex maintenance activities when required, especially those related to refrigeration and mechanical systems.
- Assign tasks to technicians according to maintenance schedules, priorities, experience, and technical capabilities.
- Follow up on preventive maintenance activities as well as urgent and emergency maintenance cases.
- Inspect equipment performance issues, identify causes of breakdowns, and coordinate with technicians to resolve malfunctions.
- Supervise the dismantling, repair, replacement, and maintenance of equipment parts when needed.
- Prepare technical reports covering maintenance issues, root causes, corrective actions, and proposed solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all mechanical and refrigeration maintenance activities.
- Document technical problems faced by maintenance teams and ensure records are properly maintained.
- Ensure the implementation of company quality procedures in coordination with the Quality and Occupational Health & Safety departments.
- Train and guide engineering team members, transferring technical knowledge and best practices.
- Supervise compliance with personal and industrial safety standards during all maintenance activities.
- Prepare periodic reports on the Engineering Department, including achievements, challenges, and recommended improvement plans.
- Submit regular reports to top management/Managing Director as required.
Requirements
- 12-15+ years of overall experience in refrigeration, mechanical maintenance, or engineering maintenance.
- Strong hands-on experience in ammonia refrigeration systems is required.
- Previous experience in cold storage, refrigerated warehouses, food manufacturing, logistics, or industrial refrigeration is highly preferred.
- Experience as a SCADA system user is highly preferred.
- Strong technical background in preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Strong leadership and team management skills are required.
