Analyze electrical project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to define scope, quantities, risks, and opportunities.
Prepare accurate cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, overheads, and contingencies.
Conduct quantity take-offs for electrical systems, including power, lighting, low-current, fire alarm, and related MEP works.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals, bid submissions, and tender clarifications within required deadlines.
Coordinate with procurement, engineering, suppliers, subcontractors, and other internal teams to obtain quotations and validate pricing.
Review market prices, historical project data, and supplier offers to ensure competitive and realistic estimates.
Support project budget preparation, cost forecasting, and identification of value-engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
Identify tender and contractual risks, exclusions, assumptions, and commercial opportunities.
Maintain organized estimation files, pricing databases, cost reports, and tender documentation.
Contribute to improving estimating tools, processes, templates, and pricing accuracy.
Provide guidance to junior estimation team members when required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
4–8 years of experience in electrical estimation within construction or MEP projects.
Strong experience in quantity take-off, BOQ review, cost estimation, tendering, and bid preparation.
Good knowledge of electrical systems, including power, lighting, low-current, fire alarm, and related MEP works.
Familiarity with electrical drawings, specifications, local codes, and industry standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and estimation or quantity-surveying software.
Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and commercial awareness skills.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively under tight deadlines.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
