Develop and implement project cost-control procedures, reporting standards, and governance frameworks.
Manage,monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, accruals,cash flows against approved baselines.
Review,validate cost reports, forecasts, payment information,cost-control processes submitted by contractors, consultants.
Prepare consolidated cost reports, dashboards, variance analyses,financial performance presentations for senior management.
Identify cost deviations, investigate their causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Evaluate the financial impact of variations, change requests, claims, and scope changes.
Monitor project contingencies, cost risks, and potential exposures, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and periodic cost-review processes throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with Planning, Commercial, Contracts, Finance, Procurement, and Technical teams to maintain accurate and consistent project cost information.
Support tender evaluations, commercial assessments, and value-engineering initiatives.
Ensure accurate cost allocation, coding, reconciliation, and reporting across project packages.
Maintain project cost databases and ensure effective use of project-control systems and reporting tools.
Provide cost insights and recommendations to support project governance, management reviews,strategic decision-making.
Lead, guide, and develop the cost-control team while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable financial controls.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
Minimum 12 years of experience in cost control, project controls, or commercial management.
At least 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership position.
Proven experience managing cost-control activities for large-scale infrastructure, construction, mixed-use, hospitality, or mega-development projects.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost planning, variance analysis, cash-flow management, change control, and risk management.
