Job Description

1. Strategic Planning

· Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

· Collaborate with key stakeholders to refine and achieve supply chain goals.

2. Procurement & Sourcing

· Oversee the procurement of raw materials and packing materials, including imports.

· Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and cost optimization.

· Ensure timely acquisition of materials while complying with import regulations.

3. Logistics & Distribution

· Coordinate transportation and distribution activities for perishable goods requiring refrigeration.

· Optimize logistics via air, road, and maritime transport to maintain product quality and reduce costs.

· Ensure compliance with international and local shipping regulations for perishable exports.

4. Inventory & Demand Planning

· Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.

· Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to accurately forecast demand.

· Monitor stock turnover, aging, and obsolescence.

5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

· Implement and monitor quality control measures throughout the supply chain.

· Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards for perishable exports.

· Develop secure bidding processes with proper controls and approvals for supplier selection.

6. Risk & Cost Management

· Identify and mitigate potential risks in supply chain operations, including disruptions and delays.

· Develop contingency plans for unforeseen logistical challenges.

· Analyze and implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

7. Team Leadership & Development

· Lead and mentor cross-functional teams within the supply chain department.

· Provide training and guidance to ensure continuous improvement and professional growth.

8. Performance Metrics & Reporting

· Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance.

· Analyze metrics and generate reports for management review.



Requirements


· 10+ years of experience in supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, and export management.

· Experience with perishable goods requiring refrigerated transport is essential.

Knowledge

· Procurement of packaging materials and international import regulations.

· Logistics operations, including air, road, and maritime transport for perishable goods.

· Supply chain software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

· Compliance with food safety and export regulations.

Skills

· Advanced negotiation and vendor management skills.

· Expertise in logistics optimization and perishable goods handling.
