Structural Engineer

· Carrying out structural design with minimum supervision on wide range of building types using variety of systems and materials. · Providing technical support on any technical / design issues as they arise including construction supervision back-up. · Providing design review of all work performed by team members including Contractor’s submittals. · Overseeing and providing coordination support with other disciplines. · Ensuring works are completed within program. · Providing technical support and guidance for junior structural engineers and BIM technicians. · Having a strong understanding of building structures, their stability and load transfer systems and be able to analyze them according to complexity. · Initiating independently viable concept and preliminary designs for various types of buildings using conventional, post-tensioned, pre-cast concrete, structural steel and foundations · Having strong problem solving and analytical skills. · Demonstrating strong communication, organizational, time management and business writing skills. Requirements To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 5 years' post graduation work experience partnered with a Bachelor or Masters degree in Structural or Civil Engineering . Working knowledge in the use of at least 3 of the following structural design packages - ETABS, SAFE, SAP , STAAD or RAMCONCEPT. Knowledgeable in concrete and steel structures design. Experience in Post Tension design is an advantage; with hands on knowledge in the use of American Design codes. Previous experience working on a wide variety of projects in the Arabian Gulf/GCC region
