Job Description
Review the project documents (Drawings, blueprints, specifications, and other documents) and attend the internal meeting to discuss the project scope and documents.2.Prepare and send a list of inquiries and a site visit checklist to the team responsible for conducting the site visit.3.Prepare and send RFIs to the client.4.Prepare and send RFQ packages to specified and alternative vendors, ensuring three quotations for all BOQ items are obtained Five days before the tender submission date5.Conduct a comprehensive technical analysis of all incoming quotes. Enter into negotiations with the supplier to ensure that the quotes adhere to the project specifications and secure the maximum approved discounts that will help us provide a competitive price.6.Preparing comparison sheets for all MEP Systems based on the received quotation from the supplier.7.Prepare a cost breakdown for each item. 8.Performs quantity take-offs for all BOQ items in the tender phase, especially on Lump-sum projects.9.Preparing the final cost estimates for (MEP) systems encompasses various components, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.10.Prepare a proposed vendor list as per the offered price, especially for projects that do not have a specified vendor.11.Collaborating with all relevant company stakeholders in the preparation of bids and technical and financial offers within the agreed deadline.12.Responsible for crafting budget files for all awarded projects, rooted in the estimation strategy formulated during the tender stage, while fostering a united vision with all project stakeholders.13.Create and develop a comprehensive estimation library based on the supplier's quotations and ensure it is updated regularly.14.Track and monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.15.Responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the estimating process for MEP systems and deliver value to the organization. This involves analyzing performance metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing best practices.16.The role involves collaborating closely with the sales team to identify and secure profitable projects, while also working towards consistently achieving target success rates. (Hit-rate).Requirements1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)2. 5–8 years of proven experience in mechanical or MEP estimation within contracting or construction environments.3. Strong exposure to tendering for large-scale health care, residential, or hospitality projects.4. Hands-on experience with lump-sum projects is essential.5. Strong understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and related MEP scope).6. Advanced quantity take-off and cost estimation capabilities.7. Solid supplier negotiation and commercial evaluation skills.8. High proficiency in estimation tools, BOQ analysis, and Excel-based cost models.
