Job Description

Quantity Take-Off

· - Tender Drawings

· - Design Drawings

· - Shop Drawings

· - As-Built Drawings

Material Control

· - Issue Material Request Lists

· - Highlight unissued Material Items

Subcontractor Management

· - Prepare Subcontractor Packages

· - Highlight unissued Subcontractor Packages

· - Track each Subcontractor’s PO, Payment Certificate, and Payment History

Quantity Reconciliation

· - Compare quantities between all drawing stages

Certification & Compliance

·  - Review subcontractor-highlighted drawings

·  - Ensure quantities aren’t double-invoiced

·  - Ensure compliance with PO/Contract terms

Documentation & Reports

· - Prepare and issue Payment Certificates (Subcontractors & Clients)

· - Issue Client Breakup Sheets

· - Review and validate Subcontractor Final Claims

· - Prepare Bill of Quantities for Subcontractor Packages

Cost & Payment Reporting

· - Generate periodic reports: PO Value vs Certified Payments vs Paid Amount

· - Remaining Amounts

· - Advances vs Retentions

· - Approved Variations vs Budget



Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field

- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in similar QS roles, preferably in industrial or large-scale commercial projects

- Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Bluebeam (for take-off), Excel (advanced), ERP Systems (e.g., Dynamics GP), Aconex, MS Project (preferred)

- Key Skills: Strong understanding of construction drawings (civil, MEP, structural), Excellent attention to detail, Analytical and methodical thinking, High level of accountability and ownership, Good communication skills for coordination with Engineering, Procurement, and Finance teams

- Certifications: MRICS or equivalent (preferred, not required)
