Job Description

Review of the Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents, understanding, analysing and accurately assessing all Client ITT requirements.  Dissemination (in a timely manner) of the ITT documentation to all relevant internal departments to seek assistance for the estimation process. Liaison with these departments to ensure that all relevant input received is compliant with ITT requirements. Area 2: Programme / Progress:  Preparation of accurate and detailed first principle cost estimates, utilizing various estimating techniques to suit the differing types of tender complexities, formats and Client expectations in a timely manner.  Base cost estimates, including supporting technical data, must be fully detailed and well‐structured to enable a clear review process by the Company Management Team. Perform further estimate amendments / revisions as necessary.  Understanding of and ability to investigate and utilize appropriate historical data to enhance the accuracy of cost estimates.  Attendance of tender review meetings / site visits, both pre and post tender submission in relation to the project and when necessary, liaise with the Projects Team to establish and quantify a detailed Scope of Work.  Raising and the preparation of appropriate / concise technical requests for clarification for onward communication to Client during the tender period. Commercial clarifications may also be raised if so required. Area 3: Administration:  Raising and preparation of appropriate and concise technical tender qualifications for inclusion in the bid documents which are to be submitted to Client. Commercial qualifications may also be raised if required.  Preparation of relevant structured and professional technical supporting documentation, including a Scopes of Work for inclusion in tenders.  Membership of the Proposals & Estimation Team which includes assistance and support in the preparation of reports for progress and improvement, day‐to‐day operations, performance improvement and training as required. Area 4: Compliance:  Documenting and filing (in an organized manner), all relevant tender correspondence and data in the allocated server.  Adhering to all compliance and auditing requirements for the conduct of ethical and transparent operations including the compliance to all Company policies, guidelines and procedures.  Organization and compilation of all relevant estimating data to be handed over to Projects and Contracts teams on award of a contract. Attendance to Project Start‐Up meetings as and when required. Responsibilities to Health and Safety:  Assure that HSE aspects in the design and vendors documentation through audits and reviews recommendation.  Ensure that the team/ workforce working under his supervision maintain and follow all the HSE requirements. Requirements  Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field / Diploma holder related to Marine industry.  Minimum of five (5) years of estimating experience in Marine construction industry  Proficient in English communication  Foreign languages are advantageous  Computer Skills (MS Office, etc.)  The ability to sense customer mood.  Good interpersonal skills.  The ability to use knowledge effectively and efficiently
