Job Description
1. Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the freight forwarding market (ocean, air, and land).
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends to achieve revenue growth targets.
- Collaborate with senior management to align sales goals with company objectives.
2. Team Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
3. Client Acquisition and Retention
- Build strong relationships with key clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Drive the acquisition of new clients through strategic networking, cold calling, and leveraging industry connections.
- Ensure high client satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing tailored logistics solutions.
4. Sales Performance Monitoring
- Track team performance and sales metrics, preparing detailed reports for senior management.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Optimize processes to improve efficiency and maximize sales outcomes.
5. Industry Engagement
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the freight forwarding sector.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 5–10 years of proven experience in sales within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing a sales team.
- Strong background in ocean, air, and land freight solutions.
