Job Description
1. Strategic Sales Leadership
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the freight forwarding market (ocean, air, and land).
Identify new business opportunities and market trends to achieve revenue growth targets.
Collaborate with senior management to align sales goals with company objectives.
2. Team Management
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
3. Client Acquisition and Retention
Build strong relationships with key clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
Drive the acquisition of new clients through strategic networking, cold calling, and leveraging industry connections.
Ensure high client satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing tailored logistics solutions.
4. Sales Performance Monitoring
Track team performance and sales metrics, preparing detailed reports for senior management.
Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
Optimize processes to improve efficiency and maximize sales outcomes.
5. Industry Engagement
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the freight forwarding sector.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
5–10 years of proven experience in sales within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Demonstrated success in managing and developing a sales team.
Strong background in ocean, air, and land freight solutions.
Skills:
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in CRM tools, sales tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strategic thinking with the ability to create and execute effective sales plans.
