Job Description

1. Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the freight forwarding market (ocean, air, and land).
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align sales goals with company objectives.

2. Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
  • Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the team.

3. Client Acquisition and Retention

  • Build strong relationships with key clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Drive the acquisition of new clients through strategic networking, cold calling, and leveraging industry connections.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing tailored logistics solutions.

4. Sales Performance Monitoring

  • Track team performance and sales metrics, preparing detailed reports for senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Optimize processes to improve efficiency and maximize sales outcomes.

5. Industry Engagement

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the freight forwarding sector.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5–10 years of proven experience in sales within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and developing a sales team.
  • Strong background in ocean, air, and land freight solutions.

Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM tools, sales tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
