Head of Finance

Manage development and implementation of the accounting system, policies and procedures relating to financial and accounting management Develop and maintain internal audits to ensure safeguarding of relevant policies & processes, providing full written statement and appropriate business actions where necessary Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements Ensure compliance with the country’s legal and regulatory frameworks and company’s policies. This includes tax planning and compliance with state tax regulations. Ensure integrity and accuracy of company accounts Manage day-to-day finance and accounts operations including but not limited to accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger, forecasting, budgeting etc. Manage and oversee the entire accounting team Conduct all necessary training to keep the team's skills and knowledge up to date Perform month end closing activities such as account reconciliation, revenue recognition, expenses recording, etc. Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts (on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis) Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion Work with the internal & external auditors to provide the relevant documents ensuring that all queries are accurately advised Requirements Proven experience as CFO, Chief Accountant, finance officer or relevant role In depth knowledge of corporate financial law, tax regulations and risk management practices Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and people skills An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers CPA is a strong advantage BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus Past experience in setting up an accounting system including software, policies and procedures is a plus Good knowledge of IT and accounting tools (MS Office, MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)
