Quality Manager


Job Description

 Devise and establish/Review the company's quality procedures, standards and specifications
 Review customer requirements and make sure they are met
 Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
 Make sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national
 Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency
 Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
 Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
 Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reports
 Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes and improvements and how to
implement them
 Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing
 Assess the effectiveness of changes made
 Use relevant quality tools and make sure managers and other staff understand how to
improve the business
 Make sure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors
 Train and manage a team of quality control technicians.
 Implement and maintain a corporate environmental and occupational health and safety
management system.
 Ensure compliance with internal procedures as well as external audit requirements.
 Ensure compliance of environmental and safety control for company manufacturing,
packaging and storage facilities
 Provide robust and timely audit activities across the company, including procedural, process
and product audit.
 To liaise with principals, suppliers and contracted manufacturers over all issues of product
 Ensure a performance management process in line with company policy, is performed
throughout the quality department.
 Manage the review and approval of qualification/validation protocols and
qualification/validation reports.
 Act as first point of contact for quality activities across the manufacturing facility.
 Provide a lead in problem solving and root cause analysis.


 5 – 10 years of experience in a similar position.
 Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science or medical industry related qualifications, MBA - is
a plus.
