Job Description

·         Conducts research into the availability of goods & services required by the Delegation

·         Prepares Requests for Quotation / Tender and launches them following the thresholds of the Financial Rules of the Delegation & Regional tender procedure

·         Is in charge of preparing Selection Tables, pre-awarding suppliers, negotiating prices and conditions under the supervision of the red line manager, drafting contracts and Frame Agreements related to all purchases of Cairo Delegation

·         Prepares Purchase Orders and follows through the procurement process until the delivery of the product/services respecting the Customers’ specifications

·         Receives goods/services jointly with the Requester, checks their quantity, quality and conformity

·         Prepare all invoices with supporting documents for own files according to the Financial Rules and submits them for onward processing by Finance

·         Follows up with the Finance department on invoices ensuring timely payments  

·         Uploads all required Purchase Orders files onto Profiles for internal-external audit purposes.

·         Continuously works on sourcing, assessing, developing and monitoring new and current suppliers in the country

·         Manages & maintains good business relationship with suppliers (SRM) through visits and follow-ups that allow to solve the day-to-day constraints or bigger issues

·         Updates and maintains a Supplier Database ensuring that all suppliers fulfill ICRC documentary requirements during their initial registration and subsequently, during their business relationship with the ICRC.

·         Provides support to the regional  Procurement & Quality teams for NAME region purchases upon request from Amman Logistics Procurement Unit ensuring that standards of the contracted products and services are respected by Egyptian suppliers



Requirements

 

·         Educational background in Economics, Accounting, Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, New Product Development or any other related field.

·         2-3 Years work experience in a similar function.

·         Good knowledge of the Local Market.

·         Accurate and structured way of working paired with excellent organization skills.

·         Stress resistant and talent in negotiations.

·         Ability to work independently and proactively

·         Willingness to learn

·         Good command of spoken and written English & Arabic.

·         Good computer skills
