Senior GIS Operator

1. Input and update spatial data into GIS databases using appropriate software tools.
   
2. Perform data digitization, conversion, and manipulation tasks to create accurate maps and geographic information layers.
   
3. Conduct quality control checks on GIS data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
   
4. Assist in the creation of maps, charts, and visualizations for use in reports, presentations, and decision-making.
   
5. Collaborate with GIS team members and other departments to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
   
6. Maintain and update GIS databases, files, and records according to established standards and procedures.
   
7. Troubleshoot technical issues related to GIS software, data, and systems.
   
8. Follow best practices and guidelines for data management, storage, and security.
   
9. Stay informed about new GIS technologies, tools, and methodologies through self-study and training.
   
10. Provide support and training to users on GIS software and applications as needed.
    

Requirements

1. Msc/MTech in geography / geoinformatics / Remote Sensing and GIS

2. Preferable ITI certificate holder

3. 5 to 7 years of experience in GIS domain

1. Hands On experience with GIS Software Like

1. ArcGIS 10.4, 10.8

2. QGIS

3. AutoCAD

2. Good Communication Skills

3. Quality assessment and Quality Checking

4. Topology and geoprocessing

5. Documenting and preparing the process

6. Compile and refine GIS data from a variety of sources including public domain, field collection, satellite imagery and existing maps

1. GIS data management using PostGIS

2. Model builder

3. Web publishing of GIS layers using geoserver
