Medical Equipment Planner

For specific allocated projects, in coordination with the Architecture Team Lead (Cairo), manage, plan and carry out the following; · Lead the planning, programming, and specification of medical equipment for healthcare facility projects. · Work closely with clients, clinicians, and vendors to identify equipment needs and ensure alignment with clinical workflows. · Develop medical equipment lists, room-by-room equipment layouts, and equipment specifications/cut sheets. · Coordinate equipment requirements with architectural, MEP, and structural teams to ensure appropriate space, utilities, and infrastructure support. · Conduct/manage site surveys and existing equipment inventories. · Prepare procurement documentation and assist in budgeting, bid evaluations, and installation planning. · Participate in design review meetings and support commissioning and final turnover processes. · Ensure all equipment planning is compliant with healthcare regulations and safety standards. · Liaise with contractors, vendors, and consultants throughout design and construction phases. · Assists the Architecture Team Lead (Cairo) on matters that cross between interfacing elements, projects, · Work proactively, constructively, and fairly with all parties to ensure the successful execution of duties, and, · Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as directed, and as may be appropriate. Requirements · 7–10 years of experience in medical equipment planning or healthcare architecture. · Experience in hospital and clinical facility projects including new builds, renovations, and expansions. · Proven track record in managing medical equipment scopes on multi-phase or large-scale healthcare projects. · Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and managing client relationships, and, · Previous Middle East experience in design of healthcare facilities in Saudi Arabia will be highly regarded. · Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred. · Certification in medical equipment planning (e.g., Certified Health Care Constructor - CHC, or similar) is an asset. · Familiarity with equipment planning software and databases (e.g., Attainia, Excel-based tools). · Strong understanding of clinical environments, healthcare workflows, and medical technology. · Knowledge of healthcare standards and guidelines such as FGI, NFPA, and ADA. · Experience working with clinical stakeholders in hospitals or healthcare systems. Registration with a recognized professional Standards Institution (licensed to practice architecture), · Specific training & qualifications in architecture including use of specific software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Rhino.
