Fitness Buyer / Procurement

1 Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating terms and agreements to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms. 2 Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors, ensuring continuous improvement in product quality and availability. 3 Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to make informed decisions on product selection and procurement strategies. 4 Analyze market conditions, pricing trends, and product innovations to identify opportunities and potential risks. 5 Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales and marketing teams, to understand customer preferences and demand. 6 Source and purchase fitness equipment, accessories, and related products that align with market trends and customer preferences. 7 Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions. 8 Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. 9 Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses, track product shelf life, and ensure product freshness. 10 Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards for fitness products. 11 Conduct regular quality assessments of products, address issues with suppliers, and work towards continuous improvement in product quality. 12 Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to maximize profitability. 13 Negotiate cost reductions, volume discounts, and favorable payment terms with suppliers. Requirements ▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management, or a related field. ▪ A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar environment. ▪ Strong Customer Service Mentality. ▪ Proven experience as a buyer in the health and fitness industry. ▪ Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships. ▪ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. ▪ Knowledge of fitness equipment and related products. ▪ Familiarity with procurement software and tools. ▪ Results-driven and detail-oriented. ▪ Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ▪ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. ▪ Passion for health and fitness.
